Weekend recap: sun, sea, and just enough chaos 🌊🍻

My friends and I recently escaped the hustle (and mild burnout) with a quick trip to Pattaya — aka a wild mix of cultures, tourists, tuk-tuks, and those charming little Thai quirks you can't help but love.

Our main goal? Beach, please. We headed to Koh Larn — once a hidden gem, now everyone's favorite “not-so-secret” island getaway. We stayed right on Tawaen Beach, where time kinda slows down (or maybe that was the Chang beer talking?).

How we got there:
We hopped on a bus from Mo Chit Bus Terminal (right in Chatuchak, Bangkok) to Pattaya Bus Station — super easy and budget-friendly at just 142 baht. From there, it’s a short songthaew ride to Bali Hai Pier, where you can catch a ferry to Koh Larn. Ferry tickets are around 30 baht, and boom — island mode: activated. 🏝️

It was all good vibes: salty hair, sandy toes, sunset chats, and absolutely no emails. Just a weekend of cheap thrills, sea breeze therapy, and reminding ourselves that we deserve soft moments and spontaneous trips.

10/10 recommend doing more of this. Weekend escapes with your favorite people? Always a good idea. Especially when they come with ocean views and no notifications.
